Checking if “Disable Popup windows” is set on the about:config file of Firefox

If you wish to disable any popups from the Mozilla browser plug-in, a strategy to bypass popup blockers use the about:config file. To enable this feature in firefox follow the below steps.

Open Mozilla Firefox
In the URL bar or address field type “about:config” and press [ENTER]
This should open the Firefox config window.
Check if the value “privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins” is part of the list; if not, create one by:
Right-clicking on a blank portion of the window and clicking “New” and then “Integer”
For the preference name type “privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins” and click Ok.
For the value type “2″
Also, locate the “privacy.popups.firstTime” option also in the about:config screen and change the value of this setting to “false”
